A 7.6 magnitude earthquake shakes the Caribbean

The Mexico City -7.6 earthquake has shook the Caribbean Sea south of the island of Cayman.

Several islands and countries urged people to move near the coastal belt, but in some places authorities later eliminated tsunami warnings.

The USGS said the earthquake took place in the middle of the sea at 6pm and 23 minutes, and it was 10 km deep.

Its center was located 130 miles (209 km) southwest of Georgetown in the island of Cayman. The US National Tsunami Warning Center said there was no tsunami warning for the US soil, but they issued a tsunami advice for Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands, which was later canceled.
