Famous German music composer Hans Zimmer may reimagine Saudi Arabia’s national anthem, the kingdom’s entertainment chairperson Turki Al-Sheikh said on X (formerly Twitter).
The Oscar-winning musician met Al-Sheikh, chairman of the country’s General Entertainment Authority, on the sidelines of the Joy Awards in Riyadh. New Arab Reported.
The two also discussed the possibility of Zimmer’s participation in composing the soundtrack for a film about the Battle of Yarmouk. Zimmer has largely been behind the soundtracks of films, e.g Gladiator, Interstellar, Lion King, The Dune And The Dark Knight Risesto name a few.
“Today I met a man who is considered one of the greatest musicians of our time,” Al-Sheikh wrote on Monday.
‘We discussed many future projects which I hope will soon see the light of day, including redistributing the Saudi national anthem with different instruments.’

Al-Sheikh, who serves as an adviser to the royal court, said he also wanted to recruit Zimmer to participate in composing the score for a musical project based on the monarchy. Arab.
