According to an official, Maulvi Mufti Munir Shakir, the founder of the illegal Lashkar-e-Islam, received a blast in Peshawar on Saturday.
A police spokesman said the incident took place around the Armor police station and Mufti Shakir was injured in the blast on his left foot. It states that the other three injured in the incident were Khushal, Abid and Syed Nabi.
The statement added that police, bomb disposal units and anti -terrorism department personnel were present at the scene and evidence was being collected.
In a video message, Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) spokesman, Mohammad Asim, said: “Mufti Shakir was brought to LRH in critical condition and he was killed by his injuries,” he added, adding that the hospital was in the process of handing over the body to his heritage.
Health -related Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assistant Assistant Ahatsham Ali issued a statement on the matter, saying he was “sad” to hear about the development.
Lashkar-e-Islam, a militant organization located in the Khyber tribal region under the leadership of Mangal Bagh, was banned in 2008.

After launching the first military operation against Lashkar -e -Islam in mid -2005, Pakistani security forces demolished Haji Rabat’s house and destroyed an FM radio station located in a mosque.
