US passengers are more reluctant to fly in connection with aviation accidents.
A Recent survey, points launched by cow and conducted by Harris Pool65 % of Americans say they are more afraid of flying because of recent events. One of the four said they were more nervous than flying now.
The survey surveyed people between February 28 and March 4, following several aviation incidents, including a tragic and deadly collision of an American airline plane, including a military helicopter over the river Potomic, Delta Airlines and Airlin in the southwest of the airlines.
Due to these incidents, some people have re -considered their travel plans. According to the survey, 36 % of Americans say they have been changing their travel plans for fear of flying.
In February, Eli Finli was among those who lost the projects.
“I was planning to go to Arkansas to meet my grandmother, but we decided to postpone the journey on the basis of the ongoing uncertainty,” Finli told Scraps News Group San Diego.
Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastin told investors this week that the incidents are a factor in the sale of low tickets.
“With the arrival of safety questions, the consumer confidence in air travel is certainly eliminated a bit,” said Bastin.
But the screening number of the Transportation Security Administration from the first half of March is equal to one year ago, and the agency is expecting more than 50 million passengers to be screening during their spring break, which is more than 5 % over the previous year.
Rebecca Geeis was still planning to fly from Denver International Airport on Friday, a day later, when passengers had to fly to the US airline when her engine opened fire on the runway.
Jess said, “I just think that it is always terrible to fly somewhat.” “But I’m not afraid tomorrow.”
According to points cows and Harris Pool, 72 % of Americans believe the airline’s journey is safe. Aviation experts say it is so.
“I don’t think the system is unsafe,” former FAA administrator Randy Babat told Scraps News in January. “I think this is the safest system to move people.”
In fact, aviation accidents have decreased this year compared to the same period last year, and experts say recent accidents will only increase safety as the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating these incidents and will bring about changes to improve safety.
