The Vatican was a comfortable night at Rome’s Jameli Hospital on Tuesday, Vatican said on Tuesday after the news that 88 -year -old Pontaf was responding to treatment and is no longer at risk of death in his last war with double pneumonia.

Francis has been at Gameli Hospital since February 14, with severe respiratory infection, which requires constant treatment. He is stable and has shown improvement in recent times.

Vatican said on Monday that the Pope’s doctors had previously decided to take up the “guard” diagnosis, meaning Pontuff was no longer in danger.

“Improvements recorded in the past have created further stability, such as confirming both blood tests and clinical diagnosis, as well as a good response to its drug treatment,” he said.

But when doctors picked up the “guard” diagnosis, Vatican said on Monday that he expects the Pope “medical drug treatment in the hospital setting for more days.”

This is unknown when he will be discharged from the hospital.

Francis has not been seen since being hospitalized, which is the longest absence during his time as a Pope. Last week, he recorded a short audio message that was run during the night prayer service for the Pope in St. Peter Square, Vatican.

He said in his native Spanish language to take deep breaths in his ancestral Spanish language, “I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers in the square for your health.” “God keep you safe.”
