A man has been arrested after three people were injured in a knife attack, leaving a Dublin neighborhood in “trauma condition”.
Irish police said they were responding to a serious incident after 3pm on Sunday.
Three people were injured as a “horrific random attack” in several streets in the Arbor Hill area of Stony Batter. Guarda had a great presence in the area and other emergency services participated.
Residents have been told to stay inside and close their doors, local Fine Fine Gail Counselor Ray McDam said. He said the police had reacted very quickly and “eliminated the place”. A man located north of Dublin was arrested and detained.
Three people were attacked during the incident, police said. Two did not have serious but life -threatening injuries, while the others were declared less serious.
After his arrest, a spokesman for the Irish National Police Force, Garda Sowina said: “There is no danger to the public at this time.”
Tausich, Michael Martin, sought “complete recovery” to the wounded in “amazing attacks” in Dublin.
In a statement on X, he said: “Our views are with the victims of astonishing attacks in Stony Batter today. I want to pay tribute to their immediate response and tribute to emergency services.
“I wish all of these individuals should be urged to contact the Guardian with any information, with any information.”
There were a sharp presence of police and several crime scenes by 5pm. By evening all traffic restrictions were lifted.
Police are appealing to any witnesses to come to the fore.

Mc Adam said community officers are contacting local residents to assure them that they will maintain their presence in the area. He described the neighborhood closely.
“There is a level of trauma, a level of anxiety, but in Stone batter, there is a lot of sense that people who have been affected and injured will be recovering fast,” he said. “There is a feeling that ‘how can something like in our neighborhood?”
He said the locals were assured of the Guarda’s immediate response.
Sun Fan Leader, Mary Lou McDonald, called the incident a “horrific news”. “My thoughts are with the wounded and their families. This community is in a state of shock,” he said in a statement. “Rotation and emergency services are to be appreciated for their response.”
