Authorities there have been hit by several more earthquakes around the Greek island of Centurini, a few hours after announcing an emergency.
Tourist hotspots have been shaken by thousands of earthquakes since last Friday.
Thursday evening, a magnitude 4.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 20:16 local time (18:00 GMT) between Santorine and another island, Amorgos, followed by a magnitude 4.2 earthquake.
The majority of residents – more than 11,000 people – have already left the island as earthquakes are being recorded at a minute by a minute.
