- Last August, Sonia Moore marked French Polynesia from her travel bucket list.
- Despite a lot of plans before the journey, turning back, there are some things he did in different ways.
- She would leave Bora Bora and make a higher budget of food and alcohol.
Ever since I learned about its existence, the French Polynesia was on my bucket list, and last August, I finally made it there.
Me and my colleague spent 16 days traveling in this unrealistic French overseas area. Our travels included six islands in the island of Society, a region that is part of the 118 -Pacific islands of French Polynshia.
We came to visit during the high season, but he never felt a crowd.
These islands are as amazing as their reputation, with ancient white sand coast and vivid turquoise logins. I liked the French Polynesia’s own journey, but to improve it, I did five things in different ways.
The ferry was reliable and cheap, such as short paths such as Tahiti (in the picture).

1. Give the best way to travel
I spent a lot of time planning flights between the islands when I had to first study the map of the Society Islands to see which routes through the ferry. I, too, should have ignored most of the options on the website. Book Flight hours and prices require features.
The ferels proved to be reliable, comfortable and very cheap for short paths like Tahiti, such as Mauria and Hahayan-Riyatia-Taha-Bora Bora. Knowing that I must have saved a lot of time planning before.
Some islands, such as Taha, don’t even have an airport. Due to its fragrant gardens, it is often called “Vanila Island”, it is only accessible by the boat by the Retaia. APTAHIE Express Ferry or 30 minutes of water taxi.
We are happy that we made it there because this is the place where we had the most magical experiences – swimming with six mournful rays in the open sea, completely lonely.
The author swimped with six rings in Taha.

For some routes, flights are better choices. We took the Mepti Express 2 ferry from Bora Bora to measured because no flights are in line with our schedule, but I will not do it again. It is less comfortable, and two and a half hours of rough ride is only for the strongest stomach.
Whether by airplane or ferry, it is key to check the schedules before residence residence. The ferry does not run daily, and flight prices may be highly fluctuated – a ticket we had $ 120 on Monday but 7 327 on Saturday.
Planning about these factors made a big difference in our journey.
2. Keep the time in mind
Tahiti slipped from time to time while flying towards the east. Since we traveled via Australia and New Zealand, we must go back with time, one day before our departure date. The last phase of our journey came out of Auckland on the afternoon of August 17 and reached Pepat on the evening of August 16.
I mistakenly booked my hotel in Pepat for the wrong date, assuming that we would reach the 17th. Fortunately, this mixing is so common that Booking.com double checks a message, allowing me to correct the error.
The food was delicious but expensive, including Posin Crow, a local coconut milk.

3. Increase the budget of dose and alcohol
French Polynesia is not cheap food and alcohol. We spent $ 17 for a neighbor hungry and the same way for local coconut milk sauce, Posin Crow. Important dishes were often over $ 30.
French wine, on average, $ 30 to $ 65 or more via bottle. If we slipped on a bottle of View Klikot in a restaurant, he would have returned us $ 146.
On the bright side, everything was delicious.
The author spent four nights in Hahaian and did not feel that it was enough.

4. Leave Bora Bora and spend more time on Hahayan
We fell on the heads of the heels in love with the air, and four nights were not enough.
We continued to face an amazing ligament at a $ 250-one night Airbon Be Villa on a private beach, and snorkeling was incredible. I love this day in this paradise to rest in Hemak with a good book.
While Bora Bora was beautiful, it was very memorable, and we have no objection to leaving it. However, if our budget had a $ 2,000 overs bungalow, Bora Bora has become my favorite island.
The author hopes that he will return to the French Polynesia and plan a better visit.

5. Pack some warm clothes
French Polynesia does not face high change in temperatures throughout the year. The forecast of the August season, which comes in the cold weather, has predicted 82 degrees Fahrenheit height and 73 ° F shortages. However, the average height for the rest of the year is not much different – about 86 ° F
We thought we would be comfortable in tropical clothing, but we did not realize how fast this part of the world was. Along with the Windchal element, we found ourselves trembling at times and had to buy some long -sleeved shirts.
June to August is the fastest time of the year, though we occasionally experienced light rain and cloudy sky.
The French Polynesia is a charming part of the world, and I hope to return to the first trip to plan for a better tour.
