Lahore police arrested four suspects allegedly involved in the Dharmapura underpass shooting on Friday, a video of which went viral a day ago.
In a widely circulated video, which many people have condemned, armed guards of a private security company were seen carrying a luxury vehicle, violating clear laws and displaying open -minded weapons. They fired, attacked a car on an underpass, and left behind a vehicle and some weapons and fled the scene.
According to the clip, traffic on the underpass slowed when security guards exchanged hot arguments with a car rider on the road.
In a statement issued by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations, Faisal Kamran – who took notice of the incident and formed a special team. “Four suspects were arrested in Dharmapura Underpass for the incident,” he said.
Kamran said that the remaining suspects involved in the incident will also be arrested soon, adding that action has been initiated against the guard providing security company.
The DIG said that the suspect tortured a citizen named Imran and fired in the public by firing fear and panic.
“No one is above the law. Whoever takes this law into his hands will go to jail.
