Two people were killed and two police officers were injured in the firing at the northern Indian Grocery Market, officials said.
A man opened fire in Martin’s supermarket in Elkart, Indiana, in late Syria, Jessica McBarer, a spokesman for the Elkart Police Department, told reporters. Police said two respondents exchanged shootings with a suspect, who was killed in the incident.
According to McBarer, the officers were taken to a local hospital and they are in a stable condition. He did not share additional information about the two killed or the suspected shooter.
